Latvian adventure

“4.q.2006″: We started a negation with some Latvian Investors that was interesting in building up the BipBip System in Latvia. Early 2007 we entered a licensee contract with this company and the next 5 months we where helping them building up their company towards selling and marketing the BipBip System in Latvia. After our delivery of the system in Latvian and Russian they was not able to fulfill the contract do to some internal issues from their side - sadly enough and we had to terminated the contract with them. Even if it was a very very expensive period for Us (and them) we learned lot from this period especially how NOT to run business in the new Europe and what we today can mention as EurAsia. “4.q.2008″

Nothing is alwas only bad and out of all this we come to learned valuated persons that we today are working together with as our CTO Oleg Bogdanov and our house-lawyer Ugis Treions and we estabilish our Holding company and our International operation company with a share-capital of lvl. 25.602.000 – and this only for the first 20 licensee covering the EurAsia area (can be compared to the area that former Republic of Sovjet was covering).

In the same time we had our negations with Orkla Media, we where in dialogue with Malta (yes the Island) Enterprise. This is a loooong story but the essens of it is that we today have a LOI of a substantial sum of money – but due to the way they (Malta Enterprice) is duing business we are still waiting for them to react towards their obligations or if we are gonna sue them in international court -time will tell. And if you can learn something of this it is that be very very careful before entering any dialogue with those guys.

Knock Knock who’s there?

Oct.2005: We where in a meeting with Orkla Media (Norway) showing them the BipBip System in regards to them buying a license for Norway. That was interesting for them but the would like to invest in the mother company. After many months (more than 7 months) we actually come to an agreement that they would buy 25% of the shares in a sister company that we would setup including the licensees for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Baltic’s, Poland and Germany. 5 days after the contract was ready to sign the mother company of Orkla Media (Orkla ASA) was setting Orkla Media for sale – And the rest is now history the reason why we did not went into a dialogue with the buyers was due to many reasons first and foremost that we couldn’t see any further in this company -and well until now that has showed the right decision to make. “1.q 2006″

“1. of Sept 2005″: At 11:35 (CET); 25 minutes before deadline, Andrew Gnennyy from Ciklum.com; now working @ synergy-solutions.com, was calling me to say “bipbip is now running on the servers”! It was of course a fantastic experience, and even if there of course were some issues not fully complete, even then I would like to give my warmest towards Torben Majgaard and his softwarehouse Ciklum.com! Those guys are just really great to work with and of course also Andrew, that always will have a special place in my heart.

*041104: After a normal Sunday in the family, it was time for the weekly cleaning day At the end, my wife (X today…) was coming back from bringing out the weeks stack of magazines, free news-papers and all the other “SPAM-stuff” you receive on a weekly basis – and she said the now famous words “why is it not possible only to receive the offers that I’m interested in – instead of all the unnecessary stacks of papers and time looking after offers that match our shopping-list. // Lasse Larsen
